Since the Edo era when the Maeda clan assembled a cadre of the best metal artisans in Japan, Takaoka has been the epicenter of metal crafts, known for its exquisite craftsmanship, combining traditional techniques with modern design to create pieces that are both functional and stunning.

We will be presenting our curated selection of brass, iron, aluminum and bronze objects selected during a recent sourcing trip to Takaoka with Jetro and Chicago store Wilderhouse in October.
